Daniel Patrick Giles, the Canadian-born founder of PERFUMEHEAD, was in Toronto recently for the launch of the brand at Holt Renfrew.

While there, he spoke to Katherine LaLancette of The Kit about the brand's genesis — Perfumehead is a play on the term "sneaker-head" — and took her on a short olfactory tour of Toronto.

Giles started his career at Holt Renfrew, working in its PR and marketing departments for nearly 15 years. He is the first-ever Holt's exec to return to sell their line at the store.
