Perfumehead founder Daniel Patrick Giles is an auteur known as the “Sofia Coppola of scent.” For Giles, scent is cinema, a form of olfactive storytelling that transcends individual notes
and references. His work centers perfume as a form of self-expression, each fragrance its
own universe, a convergence of French craftsmanship and LA cool.

He started Perfumehead in 2022 in Los Angeles, a place that is not just home, it is the muse. A city of cinema, sensuality, and reinvention. Where ideas become influence and culture becomes power.

A man in a blue sweater and jeans stands in a hallway next to a large black poster with white text that reads 'LOS ANGELES IS PERFUME HEAD.' A crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling, and a dark wood door is on the left.
A large white historic-style mansion with gray shingled roofs, surrounded by dense green trees and hills with other houses in the background.

“When I started Perfumehead, I was inspired by my adopted city of
Los Angeles to create fragrances that spark joy, and reflect the
ever-changing allure of this city and all it creates. Telling stories through scent has never been about a
direct translation of one reference, but rather capturing
the essence of a cast of cultural muses.”

“Giles spins a narrative with such depth

that you crave the fragrance before

you’ve even smelt it.”
